The Cape Girardeau County Sheriff’s Office is seeking qualified applicants for potential
Employment for four positions of full-time Patrol Deputy
and one position of full-time Animal Control Officer starting January 1, 2008.
Applicant must be at least 21 years of age at the time of employment, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, must have the required Missouri POST hours up-to-date, be a U.S. citizen, be a resident of the State of Missouri, must reside in Cape Girardeau County or be willing to locate to Cape Girardeau County, must not have any felony record or convictions of any crime involving moral turpitude and posses a valid Missouri driver’s license.
Applicants will be required to participate in and successfully complete the hiring process. Applicants will be subject to a background investigation and will be subject to meeting the requirements of employment with Cape Girardeau County.
Salary: Patrol Deputy full-time $30,190.00 plus $600 clothing allowance
Animal Control Officer $26,335.00 plus $600 clothing allowance
Benefit package: Thirteen paid holidays
One week vacation after 1 year, two weeks
after 2 years

The Cape Girardeau County Sheriff’s Office has immediate openings for Civilian Jail Officers.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age at the time of employment, possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Must not have any felony record or convictions of any crime involving moral turpitude, be a U.S. citizen and posses a valid Missouri driver’s license.

Salary: Civilian Jail $21,013 plus $600 clothing allowance
