On Sunday morning, July 03, 2011 Sheriff's Deputies Investigated a disturbance at 3809 Old Route V just outside of Cape Girardeau. The disturbance resulted in a person receiving stab wounds from a knife. The victim 37 year old Walter Claar of the same address was taken by ambulance to a local hospital where he underwent emergency surgery and is listed in critical condition.
Several witnesses were interviewed and the person who is believed to have inflicted the wound was identified and interviewed. No arrests have been made at this time and the investigation continues.
The charge of an offense is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven Guilty.
